She fears she might be going mad until she meets a necromancer who assures her the voice is real. Is he a charlatan? Or, has he the power to guide her through this nightmare as she struggles to hold her career together? Their dash through the great theaters of Europe becomes the performance of a lifetime with death waiting in the wings.

What critics have written about Caroline Miller’s previous novels.
Heart Land: MIDWEST REVIEW:
Caroline Miller is a gifted novelist of the first order. Heart Land is an exceptionally entertaining read
Gothic Spring: REBECCA READS:
The language and social mores scream of Jane Austen. A young sassy girl who knows that life holds more for her than society dictates, Victorine becomes a force to be reckoned especially when conflicted by sexual urges and restricted by social conventions. “Gothic Spring” is quite delightful to read!
Trompe l’Oeil: SILVER REVIEWS:
Hidden tunnels, a castle, Paris, a mystery, deceit, and a questionable inheritance. Rachel Farraday was the lucky one to be chosen by Madame de Villiers to assist in researching the history of her chateau and also in a surprise that may have or may not have been planned… The writing is excellent as usual when it comes to Caroline Miller.
