A DAY OF CELEBRATION
Today, I wish to thank my readers for their support and their loyalty over the past two years. March 22 marks the end of my second year as a blogger and I am staggered to think that I have written over 600 essays at the rate of five a week (M-F) on varied topics but all related to literature and writing as it reflects life.
In the course of creating these blogs I’ve gained followers from around the globe. How they found me is a mystery, but I am grateful. Why they stay with me is a greater mystery, but I’m humbled by it. Having read the work of other bloggers, I know I’m not hip or cool or whatever the fashionable word of the moment is, but while styles may change, I have an abiding faith in the universal core of what it means to be human and I try to speak to that core.

People ask where I get my ideas and how I can write so frequently and not run out of ideas. I shall let Hamlet answer for me:
What a piece of work is a man, How noble in
Reason, how infinite in faculties, in form and moving
how express and admirable, In action how like an Angel!
in apprehension how like a god, the beauty of the
world, the paragon of animals. (Hamlet, Act 11, scene ii)
Given the scope of Shakespeare’s description, how could I… how could anyone’s thoughts run dry? Today, I use this space to thank those who have followed this blog for staying with me. Together we shall go on exploring this accident we call life.
